The cancellation conditions depend on the rate or offer booked. The applicable conditions for your reservation will be shown before completing your booking and are also stated in your booking confirmation.

Changes to your booking are possible depending on the rate booked and availability. Please contact us directly. For non-cancellable or non-refundable rates, a change of booking may not be possible.

Yes. For stays of 5 nights or more, you receive a 5% discount, and for stays of 10 nights or more, a 10% discount.

Due to the historic structure of the former Poor Clare monastery, our hotel is not fully accessible and is not equipped for guests with disabilities. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us before making your booking.

Yes. Breakfast is always included in the room rate during your stay at Hotel Richard Löwenherz.

Our breakfast is served daily from 7:30 am to 10 am in the historic rooms of the hotel.

Yes. Our Restaurant Richard Löwenherz is also open to external guests.

We recommend reserving your table in advance so that we can plan your visit accordingly. Especially on weekends and during the high season, making a reservation in good time is highly recommended.

At Restaurant Richard Löwenherz, you can enjoy Austrian cuisine with seasonal and regional specialities, featuring a special connection to the Wachau region.

Yes. We also offer vegetarian and vegan dishes. If you have any special dietary requirements or intolerances, please let us know in advance whenever possible.

Yes. Weather permitting, we serve lunch and dinner on our Danube terrace with views of the Danube, the church tower and Dürnstein Castle ruins. Breakfast is not served on the terrace.

Yes. The Danube Cycle Path through the Wachau runs in the immediate vicinity of Dürnstein. Our hotel is therefore an ideal starting point for cycling tours along the Danube.

Yes. Bicycles can be stored at our hotel. Our reception team will be happy to show you the designated storage area upon arrival.

Yes. Numerous hiking trails through the Wachau vineyards and around Dürnstein can be reached directly from the village. Hikes to Dürnstein Castle ruins and through the surrounding vineyards are particularly popular.

Dürnstein Abbey, the historic old town and Dürnstein Castle ruins are located in the immediate vicinity. Numerous other attractions in the Wachau region are also easily accessible from Dürnstein.

Hotel Richard Löwenherz is located in the heart of the Wachau and is an ideal starting point for excursions. Dürnstein Castle ruins, Dürnstein Abbey, as well as numerous hiking and cycling trails can be reached easily on foot. Danube boat trips and renowned wineries are also located nearby.

The Wachau invites you to go hiking, cycling, take boat trips on the Danube, and visit local wineries and cultural attractions. Our reception team will be happy to assist you with planning your individual excursions.

Every season during our hotel season has its own special charm: from spring and warm summer days to the grape harvest and the golden autumn. Spring and autumn offer particularly pleasant conditions for hiking and cycling.

For Dürnstein and the surrounding area, we recommend staying for at least two to three days. Those who wish to explore the Wachau at a leisurely pace, go hiking, cycling and enjoy excursions can easily spend several days with us.
